React Router provides a few ways of accomplishing it. This is very easy and useful, but what if you are trying to navigate outside of the React's page. You are probably familiar with navigating around your app with use of. Or if other people know of a good existing way (or a better non-existing way) to take care of that use-case, I'd love to hear it. For the situation described above, I'd probably have to end up writing another component wrapping this logic and rendering either a or an accordingly - don't other react-router users want the same thing? Seems it would be nicer for react-router users if the provided did this for them. So basically paste your loader configuration below the current JS file rule and may delete the jsx extension above and. If you want to use your loader for react the you have to identify the react files ideally by extension or specific file name pattern ( the test property is a regex field). If doesn't understand how to deal with both, then I need to perform the logic myself that distinguishes between external URLs and routes and renders different elements accordingly. Currently your JavaScript files are processed by Babel. I want to map those to components and render them.

I wanted to do this from the route level instead of handling the redirect from the component.

I was tasked with a route loading a React component if the user was signed in, or redirecting to an external site. At my current development position at Astrolabe Diagnostics. Let's say I have an array of objects representing 20 links, a few of which are "routes" and a few of which are true URLs. The Link state prop is declared any, and the Location objects state appears to be declared unknown.Im not familiar enough with typescript to even say if you need to specifically type anything other than assigning a type when destructuring from location.state. TIL: How to redirect to an external URL within react-router-dom. (Also, it's confusing that the external links work without a protocol?) If that's the case, then (with docs clarified) this issue still stands but as a feature request rather than a bug.
